Okay, so it's been a little while since my last update. Well that would be because we moved! Let me just say, I love it! We loved our last apartment but this one is more conventional for our family. So we've been very busy the last couple weeks, to a month. The even better news is now I have internet and a better functioning computer to work on my blogs. Easter is coming! Spring is in the air and it feels amazing. My husband is back to work full time and I still work part time. I love working. Being a stay at home mom for over 3 years now it's nice to be able to bring in some bacon. Although I eat a lot of organic food, I will always love bacon. Waking up everyday with a positive mind set has brought me a long way. I'm very happy with where I am in life. It's important to love the right now, but know where you want to be. I'm exactly where I am supposed to be in my life.
I want to update you all on how well the girls are doing. Let me start off youngest to oldest. My youngest is walking, running, jumping, and a very good eater! She weighs about the same as her older sister. She wants to do everything she sees her sisters doing! It's incredible how much they learn from watching each other! Mya is talking quite a bit now. She can tell you exactly what she wants and how she wants it. I love that she can express herself in positive ways. They amaze me everyday. My oldest is almost four and I just can't believe it! Where does the time go? Officially using the potty all by herself! About time! She worked hard on her sticker chart and I'm proud to announce that she is potty trained. (They don't teach potty training in Early Childhood ED) She also loves wearing her glasses still and wears them most days. They love playing outside and with the nice weather coming I'm very excited we live right next to the park now. We just had a recent trip to Walmart. They all got new shoes, sunglasses, and my little ponies. My oldest is in a size 8 shoe, and the other two are both in size 5. They picked out their own shoes. What an exciting trip that was. Sparkles, Colorful, Dora the explorer, and everything else! They enjoyed our little trip to the store. They had a lot of fun picking out their own sunglasses and getting ready for spring. Now, I always seem to do this. Easter is right around the corner. Yet I can't help but buy them stuff right before Easter. We always do a really big Easter. We get them all the toys, clothes, shoes, etc.. that make spring time just that much more exciting. I joke and say it's the second Christmas in my house. Well with three beautiful babies, every holiday looks like Christmas. While we were in the store a group of elderly women came up to me just to tell me how good of a job I was doing with them. That always makes me feel really great! When an older person can recognize a good mother and father without thinking about our ages, that we are good parents. Stereo types of couples with more than one child, or having any children at a younger adult age are absolutely absurd. I can't help but think it's for a good reason. A lot of parents that are young have made that stereo type real. I never understood how a child could be neglected or abused. Growing up we didn't see that in my house. My house had a mother and father that loved me and my sister both. We were the definition of spoiled. Although, all the love and everything that came with growing up in a stable household has made me the incredible mother that I am today. As a parent you always want your children to have a better upbringing then you had. As do I. Topping the childhood I had, isn't easy. It takes a lot of work, from both of us. But together we are giving our children the best up bringing possible. We are definitely holding our standards to the highest when it comes to our children and how we raise them. On that note, I hope y'all enjoyed my update! Have a blessed day and I will catch up some more later! Stay positive beautiful!

Also! Breaking news! Did you know cantaloupe have seeds? I cut into a fresh cantaloupe and to my surprise I found seeds. I was instantly intrigued and wanted to bake them like pumpkin seeds. They were even better than pumpkin seeds. I think they are easier to chew. 21grams of protein in these tiny little seeds. Perfect for a healthy snack with some fresh cantaloupe! I am also about to make my first green smoothie. Ingredients
You dont need a fancy juicier to make a green smoothie, or any smoothie for that matter. A blender works just fine. However if you have a juicier more power to you, I'd agree their a great investment. No more store bought juices and healthier choices for you and your amazing babies! Mya and Sophia loved the cantaloupe! Emma wouldn't touch it. But I can put anything in a smoothie for emma and she will drink it without hesitation. I might have to hide the color of a green smoothie but I bet you she likes it. :) Happy Green Thoughts, Desirae Good morning!
This is a beautiful day. As i look out the many windows of my third floor apartment all i can see is snow. Beautiful white, cold, fluffy snow. With my favorite tea in hand and yoga/meditation completed I feel whole, alive, ready to concure the day. (hopefully putting away laundry as well) As warm as it is inside, outside looks frigid. So this morning, its pancakes for breakfast. Im thinking of new kinds of pancakes to make. Maybe a citris cream dreamy pancake, or peanut butter cinnamon pancake, or blackberry strawberry pancakes. I love making pancakes because the possiablities are endless. They make for a very happy breakfast for the babies. My oldest slept at grandma's last night and is there for tonight as well. Due to the snow storm we planned accordingly. Sometimes it's not the parent that needs the break, it's the child. She gets to spend time with her cousins which she is always happy to see and play with. Im very pleased to announce, everything is falling into place for the people I care about. Keeping spirits lifted, and staying humble, is key to success. I consider myself rather successful, improved, and inspired. Happiness is a journey, Positivity is a journey, not a destination. Love everyday for what its worth. It's worth everything. I hope some of you have signed up at www.carolinezwick.com for your turtorial on the key to the positive pull. It has helped me a great deal as I hope others are as satisfied with the program as I was. Today, I want to make a rotating goal sheet. It's a fantastic way to keep up with goals, keep track of progress and projects, without over loading yourself with clutter and frustration. Using memo notes, write down what you plan to accomplish this week. You can put it on the top page of your calender or make your own nifty little placemat. Good luck conquering your goals and dreams and remember nothing is unreachable. With a kind heart, and good intentions, Desirae xoxo Yoga is a brilliant idea. Thank you Buddha! This is the graphic I used to start my exstreamly beginners yoga. I had no idea where to start or how to start. I do know even with three babies yoga is possible! Even more so desperately needed! Quite time happens everyday, and yoga can too. Along with the right diet, exercise is great for everyday health. I'm waking up earlier than the babies just to get yoga in before breakfast. Along with eating breakfast myself for the first time in years! Meal plans coming soon to the recipe section. Healthier 2014, its our year, most never thought we'd make it to, but here it is. Right in front of us and now its time to live without fear and live right.
When I first started, I couldn't stand on my own two feet and feel balanced never mind at harmony. Now I feel stronger, defined, and flexible. At the lowest weight I have ever been in my whole life, even after three beautiful babies. I owe my amazing body to myself. I loved myself enough to make changes I desperately needed for a better life, more fun, and the positivity radiates from yoga and within. No one knows you better than you. The only one telling you that your goal to feel good in your own skin isn't reachable, is you. You have to love yourself now, and later, not just later. Anything you set your mind to you can accomplish. That doesn't mean the first time you try, you will have perfect form, or won't fall out of your pose. But as you fall out of that pose, laugh, get up and try again. I suggest starting from home. In your living room where it's quite. Meditation first to connect you with the world from within. As a mother, I have learned alot from teaching my children. Who they play with greatly impacts the way they act. As a parent, or any person for that matter, who you surround yourself with can greatly impact the way you feel, in return act, and show emotion. Surround yourself with possitivity and the rest will just fall back. There is no need for forced interactions with people only determined to see the bad in everything. Thats why I am adding removing negative relationships to my self care/ self love plan. This year getting healthy means everything to me. Including healthy realization on past friendships and why they didn't work out. Not everybody you meet in life is ment to continue the journey with you. Sometimes people come and based on their or your intentions, can stay for awhile, and continue on their own journey. Now, this used to upset me a great deal. It seemed no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't make everyone happy, and its not even possible. Looking back every time a relationship ended it was for the best. Negative people, people who use, and vanity has no place in a journey to find positivity, health, harmony and recovery. This isn't court, there's no judge. It is not my business what anyone thinks of me. All that matters is living clean, providing, and how you perceive your own life. Most people have more about themselves to worry about, than worrying what someone else has to say about them. We all make mistakes. Depression is a sneaky little bugger and it is contagious, but so is a smile. :D I have seen so many people I cared about go through some pretty rocky situations, relationships, and hard times. It's okay to care, worry, and have compassion for these people. It's not ok, to worry excessively, or try to fix people. No one in this world will ever change just because you want then to. If someone truly cares about themselves they will do it for themselves. Self love and self care start from loving yourself, and treating yourself with kindness, love, and understanding. You can't be everything to everyone. But you are everything to the people that matter the most. Here is a beautifully written article suggested to me by the amazing @Carolinezwick
I believe sometimes its not about what your letting go of thats so hard, but the concept of letting go in general can be the hardest. http://www.daniellelaporte.com/what-if-forgiveness-isnt-about-forgiving/ You know what that means! Valentine's day is in a couple weeks and I found a perfect simple project that will make the girls smile everyday when they wake up. You can use construction paper, left over wrapping paper, or any colored paper. For everyday leading up to Valentine's Day put a heart with a message on their door. Today I used the left over tinkerbell wrapping paper and wrote: we love you girls, love mommy and daddy. This is a great way to get the babies in the Valentine's Day spirit! Along with having them make each other personalized valentines for their sisters, grandparents, and so on. I also like to get the girls little gift baskets for Valentine's Day. Last year, they had little Dora Valentine's Day cards they passed out to their friends and grandparents and auntie.
I personally love Valentine's Day! I always have.Valentine's Day is fun, romantic, and such a creative time of year. It doesn't matter if you do not have a spouse. If you came here you probably have babies. It really comes down to how you portray Valentine's Day in front of your children. If you ignore it and pretend its just another day, well that's not going to make anyone happy. Changes are the babies aren't going to know much about it either. Let say your alone and you dont have a significant other. Every other day of the year has been great, you've been happy motivated and loving every minute of it. Even though your currently not in a relationship you can still have a Valentine. That baby sitting next to you, or running wild in front of you, sleeping peacefully all snuggled up, makes the best Valentine ever! Show that baby what Valentine's day is all about. Dress up the baby in their prettiest dress or suit, go to that nice restaurant you've been wanting to try, and make a tradition out of it. Our babies learn a great deal from how their parents act. If they see mom depressed in bed or on the couch because they are alone on Valentine's Day, they will remember that. How sad would it be that our children couldn't fully enjoy the holidays because it wasn't truly enjoyable for their parents. Babies learn from play, mimicking, and imagination. Spark something brilliant and get your child excited about Valentine's Day! Have a colorful, beautiful, loving Valentine's Day, We Love The Babies, Desirae Vitamins can be very helpful. I suggest watching food matters on Netflix. They talk about the useful benefits of vitamins. Did you know that by cooking your food, you remove most of the nutritional value in the food. Most people say you can supplement but the real thing is better. How many oranges would be needed to get the daily amount of vitamin C your body needs to fight off the common cold, keep depression at bay, or keep you feeling your best? probably more than I know I could stand to eat. We take supplements to give our bodies the ingredients it needs to fight off illness. We feed our bodies food to nurture, grow, and thrive. I suggest talking to your pediatrician before putting any age child on any kind of supplement. Also, keep vitamins and other meditations safe and secure away from children. Make sure to ask your doctor and your child's doctor about ways to enhance your children's diet to meet their individual needs, or a licensed nutritionist. I have took some time to gather beneficial graphics to help guide us on our path to the righteous, healthy, positive lifestyle that has brought us to where we are today. Eat better, feel better, sounds simple enough. But do you know what your really eating. Everything in the grocery store is designed to look good, but does it taste good, and is it really what it looks like?
Organic food used to be an urban legend and my home growing up. You'd hear about it, maybe see it at friends houses, but we never really knew much about it before. Chemicals are going into our food to make it look so good, while cows are being fed corn that they can not digest properly. So much of these foods we eat contain GMO'S and pesticides that are harmful to our bodies and our children. Now you can almost buy anything made Organically and not in a lab. I have watches a couple movies and read some articles on food lately and what I found inspired me to create meals that would give me and my family the energy we need to be healthy, happy, and motivated. All by knowing what is going into the body, how it effects the body, and making positive choices. Here are some graphics I have found via: Facebook, Instagram, mindbodygreen: that I found exstreamly helpful in making the right choices and preparing food from scratch. What motivates you to get up in the morning? Is it happy baby laughs and giggles, warm little fingers poking at your toes, or screaming babies from the next room over? It can't always be rainbows and sunshine but the best part of motherhood is. Every morning should be started with a happy, positive, motivating thought. Let that thought grow into something that inspires you to create, laugh, and love. Everything good in life is done with love. Every moment in life is so precious.
Something that has got me in touch with my surroundings is meditation and yoga. I feel so insightful, inspired, and motivated after doing yoga and meditation. Sometimes, as a mother, you forget to breathe. Yoga can help with weight, self esteem, and all around health. Yoga keeps you humble, happy, and strong. Everything a mother needs to add to their self-care plan. Heres a tip: Babies love yoga too! Older children can be taught to mediate and younger babies will enjoy adding weight to your yoga moves. :) Also, they love imitating your cool bendy moves. They'll think your as cool as my three year old tells me, I am. |
We Love The BabiesThis page is to bring you along my journey to find positivity and harmony. Its started as a 30 day challenge to learn more about ones self and how to truly take care of yourself. To take care of others, you have to be able to take care of yourself. Instead of a 30 day challenge I'm turning this into a year of positivity and the journey we venture to find what truly matters in this world. It is important as a mother to show children positivity can be found everywhere and anywhere. It starts with right now, and right here! Archives
