Vitamins can be very helpful. I suggest watching food matters on Netflix. They talk about the useful benefits of vitamins. Did you know that by cooking your food, you remove most of the nutritional value in the food. Most people say you can supplement but the real thing is better. How many oranges would be needed to get the daily amount of vitamin C your body needs to fight off the common cold, keep depression at bay, or keep you feeling your best? probably more than I know I could stand to eat. We take supplements to give our bodies the ingredients it needs to fight off illness. We feed our bodies food to nurture, grow, and thrive. I suggest talking to your pediatrician before putting any age child on any kind of supplement. Also, keep vitamins and other meditations safe and secure away from children. Make sure to ask your doctor and your child's doctor about ways to enhance your children's diet to meet their individual needs, or a licensed nutritionist.
